Tennessee State University- Media Effects on Attitudes Towards the
Criminal Justice System, illustrates one communities feelings on law
enforcement based off of how often they interact with law enforcement officers.
The subjects rated scores between 10-50, lower scores closer to 10 indicated
that there was a negative attitude towards the criminal justice system, whereas
scores closer to 50 indicated a favorable attitude towards the criminal justice
system. The mean of all the scores (60% criminal justice students, 40% other)
was 28.77% indicating that the majorities have a moderately unfavorable view of
our criminal justice system.
